Personal:

I am a dedicated husband and father to three amazing children. I have lived on the Eastside most of my life and am honored to be a member of this community. I was fortunate to have a career in athletics, which became a major chapter in my life. I was a non-scholarship walk on for the University of Washington Football program. After my first year, I was awarded a full scholarship. By demonstrating my leadership skills, I was voted team co-captain by my peers. After graduating from college, I spent the next six years in the N.F.L. with the Pittsburgh Steelers. By displaying my work ethic and dedication, my fellow teammates elected me Special Teams Captain for four consecutive years. After a successful career in athletics, I knew it was time to come home to Washington.
